1. Cancer
Obviously, the major concern of the of the 21st century is cancer.

The insulin hormone which is normally secreted by β cells of pancreas in the body maintains a normal blood glucose level between 70-110 mg/dl.
However, if any abnormality causes damage of β cells, there will be little or no secretion of insulin, thus the result will be a diabetes state.
Diabetes is two types:
Type 1 diabetes commonly seen in children and youth and needs injecting insulin.
Type 2 diabetes affects older people and happen when cells of the body become resistant to action of insulin.
Additionally, Diabetes can lead to serious complications which affect brain, eye, heart, nerves, ear, skin and others parts of the body.

3. Heart diseases
Smoking, high-fat diet, lack of exercise, sedentary lifestyle, etc are causing many serious heart diseases like myocardial infarction, and heart failure. These problems are actually killing more people than many other diseases and forms of cancer.
The common causes of heart diseases are smoking, eating too much fats, lack of exercise, unhealthy lifestyle, diabetes, Atherosclerosis, high blood pressure and infections and many others.
4. Alzheimer’s disease
Even the brain may be hit by some problems like Alzheimer’s. This disease affects cognitive function of the brain, and females suffer from this problem more than males who usually suffer from Parkinson disease.
Like many other diseases, Alzheimer disease doesn’t have an exact cause; however, aging and family history, obesity, high blood pressure and down syndrome increases the risks of this disease.

5. Influenza
Influenza is a common health problem which most people suffer from especially in winter. I t is well- known that a healthy person can fight influenza on his/her own; however, it can be more difficult for children, old, pregnant women, and other immunocompromised people.
If you have special conditions like diabetes and hypertension, then influenza my develop to
serious complications like pneumonia.
Such serious complications mean that influenza poses a serious threat especially to immunocompromised people.
